Mike has over 17 years of industry experience – joining the Richards Energy team in 2002. He serves as Vice President of Key Accounts – providing client support to large commercial & industrial energy consumers throughout the mid-Atlantic region on a variety of energy matters. He embraces a customer-centric approach – assisting clients with developing sound energy strategy and implementation. Mike works with customers across multiple industry sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, government, education, and non-profit organizations – with a focus on providing total utility cost management. He has developed expertise in a variety of technical energy areas including utility consulting, electricity and natural gas procurement, utility tariff analysis, bill auditing, utility budgeting, contract negotiation, risk management, market analysis, renewable energy options, cogen/CHP analysis, solar analysis, purchasing/RFP management, and block & index purchasing strategies. Mike holds a BS of Economics & Finance. He is a registered member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), an active participant of the Association for Facilities Engineering, Susquehanna-Chapter 45 (AFE), and is registered as a Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) since 2005.
